Mark Kuhn was seriously injured in an accident on Dec 5th on I74. He was the bus driver for First Student that took the freshman girls basketball team from Normal Community West High School to a game in Champaign IL. The school bus that Mark was driving was hit head on by a semi going the wrong direction on I74 on their way home that night. Mark had to be cut out of the bus after being pinned in for over 2 hours. He was life flighted to OSF St Francis Hospital in Peoria IL. He was in critical condition with a collapsed lung, broken ribs, leg, arm and vertebrae. Three surgeries are planned so far with surgeries on his arm and leg done. Next week will be the 3rd surgery to fuse his broken vertebrae. It has been a rough road already for Mark and hard for his family and close friends as well to watch him go thru this. His smart thinking and concern for the girls and others on the bus makes him a hero in our eyes as the accident could have been much more devastating. To help with medical and other expenses involved in his long recovery we are raising money to support Mark and his family thru this ordeal. Mark is a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and person in general. Let’s help him with his recovery and to get him back to a normal life that he deserves.
