Mark Neville Memorial Bench
Donation protected
It seems hardly possible but as September quickly approaches we are reminded that this year is the 5 year mark of the passing of a man who left such a huge hole in many of our lives. Mark was such a wonderful father, husband, son, friend and coworker and he left a lasting impression with those lucky enough to cross his path. Mark also would have celebrated his 40th birthday this year ❤️
In recognition of the 5 years since we have lost Mark we have organized a memorial bench to be installed outside the Burnaby Detachment, where many of us first met Mark and his policing career began.
We are awaiting the full cost from Burnaby City Hall and we are planning on any funds left over from the bench to be donated in Mark’s name to the Loft Country kids camp to send some kids to summer camp. We know this is something Mark was a big supporter of and he would be thrilled to send some kids to camp. We have touched base with his family and they are supportive and grateful of both the bench and the camp donation.
Please share this with your friends, family and coworkers and reach out if you have any questions of either Tamara Beedle, Dave Fouche, Tara Maclean, Darwin Tetrault or Kalinda Link. Let’s share this far and wide as we all know Neville would have been the first to step up and help - it was who he was.
We will update once we know the date of installation from the city as those in the area might want to meet up. We will also share photos once it is completed for those out of area.
