Hi, my name is Rachel and I'm Mark Painter's daughter.
Since finding out my dad has kidney failure again, he has been in and out of the hospital the past 2 years. He's had many surgeries, strokes and constant dialysis.
From Illinois to Washington, my dad has touched many lives. He graduated from Naperville Central High School in 88'. Afterwards, went to Illinois State University and later landed his dream job, at Wizards of the Coast, working there for 20 years.
He is many things; a father, son, friend, brother... He means everything to us, and has given my brother and I a great life. He's given our friends a safe place to come to. He makes life better. We are so lucky to have such a goofy, adventurous, loving dad.
He still has so much life to give and needs support. Our family needs help, and thats why I created this fundraiser.
When you are just trying to stay alive, you shouldn't be worrying about bills.
This gofundme will be used towards the financial burden of his medical expenses.
