Supporting Philip and Carolyn Rissler after loss

Hi, I'm Hayley, daughter-in-law of Philip and Carolyn Rissler. I'm fundraising for Philip and Carolyn after the tragic loss of their 13-year-old son, Mark Rissler. Mark struggled with a history of an occasional seizure and other genetic complications throughout his life. The last few months have been filled with ups and downs. In February Mark was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in his brain caused by COVID.On Sunday, April 23rd, Mark went into cardiac arrest and was taken by helicopter to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he was put on life support. On Tuesday, April 25th, Mark passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.Mark was able to save the lives of 7 individuals through the Gift of Life organ donation program. We are all grieving the loss of a son, a brother, an uncle, a grandson, a cousin, a nephew, and a friend to many. Mark was a loving, adventurous boy who loved spending time at the family's cabin, exploring the woods, fishing, and playing with LEGOs. The loss of his laughter and smiles will be felt for decades to come. With the events over the past few months, Philip and Carolyn have encountered a mountain of medical costs, and now funeral costs, too.
