Mark & Roni Paris

Donation protected
Any one who knows Mark knows what a kind soul he was. He was always one to help others, he could talk your ear off about music and sports, and he genuinely loved animals, especially his dogs.
While Marks own health and his ongoing struggle with diabetes did slow him down in some respects, he was eager to get out of the cold winters and make an enjoyable life down in Florida.
Mark had always dreamed of retiring in Florida with his wife Roni.  They had finally made the decision to start that journey, head in that direction and maybe one day, they could truly enjoy retirement life together.
They sold their home in New Hampshire, packed up the camper and pups and headed south.  Along the way, Mark mentioned not feeling well.  They were at the Georgia border and only had one more day of driving ahead, so they pulled over to get some rest.  After a few hours, Roni returned to the truck to find Mark unresponsive.  Although the doctors don’t know exactly what caused his passing, we do find a small amount of comfort in knowing he passed while sleeping and was never in any kind of pain.
This is where that retirement dream stops and Roni searches for the strength to carry on.
Roni no longer owns a home to lay her head at.  Apartments are impossible to come by and so unaffordable for single member families.
Roni is currently unemployed, as she was making the move South.
She is now faced with unexpected funeral expenses as well as the added cost of transporting Marks body back to NH.  Keep in mind, with Marks health, he was not eligible for life insurance at this point in his life.
And in the days ahead, Roni will also be losing the Social Security income that Mark provided to the home.  Since Roni is only 60 years young, she won’t be eligible for his benefit for several years yet.
I am confident that we don’t need to list all the hurtles Roni will face over the coming months while also mourning the loss of Mark and trying to find a new normal, but please know, any help you can provide will lessen some of the weight and would be truly appreciated.
We will update with information on the services as it becomes available.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
Any little bit helps and if you aren't able to give then please help by sharing this as much as we can.
Thank you and God bless
