Help Mark Seelbinder battle ALS

On July 17th, 2023 Mark finished his battle with ALS. He was 66 years old. We have used some of the go fund me money to pay medical bills & needed devices, but now need to cover his funeral/burial/headstone. We have raised our goal a little higher for that very reason. Any donations are appreciated.

Hi, my name is Sandra and my family & I are trying to raise funds for my dad Mark. My dad was diagnosed with ALS/Lou Gehrigs disease in December 2021. ALS is a nervous system disease that weakens the muscles, with no known cause, no real treatment, and is terminal.

To say it’s been overwhelming to our family would be an understatement. Since his diagnosis, my dad started with a walker and is now using a wheelchair. So far we have been blessed with friends & family for odd jobs needed. The Lions Club has also covered what was left of the deductible for his power chair (which was so amazing). We are now in need of a home remodel to make things handicapped accessible (which isn’t in the budget). This would include a walk-in shower, widening of doors (thru the home), reworking of plumbing and electrical that may be needed, new sinks that work with his chair, etc.

Any leftover or additional funds would be used for: Communication devices (iPad/speech programs), medical devices (as they come up), medical bills, possible need of wheelchair accessible vehicle….I’m sure I’m leaving something out.

This is not something we are totally comfortable with…asking for help, talking about all of this on social media, but here we are. The bottom line is our dad just deserves to feel safe and comfortable & not have to worry about how to cover costs of necessities & medical bills at this point. We need the help and we appreciate a donation or even just a share of this fundraiser….more than you could ever know.
