In Memory of Mark (Sharky) Fisher

Hi, I'm Si and I'm Mark's younger brother.
I'm raising funds initially to cover the expenses of Mark's funeral. Anything left will go towards his wife Anne and daughter Chloe.
Mark sadly passed away very suddenly after a short illness and nobody was expecting it. He was only 53 years old.
He was diagnosed with a simple water infection on Monday 24th July and given antibiotics that normally would clear it up.
By Thursday 27th July he was feeling worse so called his doctor who immediately sent an ambulance for him and took him straight to the Northern General A&E department.
Mark had tests and scans that showed that he had a large kidney stone blocking one of his kidneys.
He was given all the appropriate treatment and medications to help him, and on the Saturday he seemed to be improving slightly.
We then recieved the phone call on Sunday morning that everyone dreads, telling us to get there as soon as possible.
At this point he was on dialysis to help his kidneys, multiple antibiotics and medications to try to fight the infection and keep his heart rate steady and a breathing tube.
Throughout the morning and early afternoon it became clear to the doctors (and us) that he wasn't improving but was getting worse no matter what they tried.
The diagnosis was that this was an illness that he could never recover from. His organs had started shutting down and it was basically the machinery and medications keeping him alive.
The heartbreaking decision was made to switch things off and let him go peacefully. He had his 3 brothers, sister and nephew around him when he went.
Mark was a loving and caring husband and father who cared 24 hours a day for both his severely disabled wife Anne and their 16 year old daughter Chloe who also has some special needs. He dedicated his life to the care of his wife and daughter. Something we will always be immensely proud of.
The money for the funeral costs is simply not there in the family and we need to do all we can, not only to ensure he gets a send off he deserves, but also hopefully help with the costs of Anne's daily care in the care home she unfortunately now has to live in and something maybe to put aside for Chloe's future without her daddy.
Please help by donating much as you can reasonably afford (I'd hate to think anyone would leave themselves short) , or if you're not in a position financially to help, please share this fundraiser.
Many thanks
Simon and the rest of Mark's family.
