Rally for Mark

Mark Woolsey was diagnosed in April of 2005 with 4th stage lung cancer and was told he had anywhere from 6 months to a year to live before the cancer would take his life. Mark immediately entered into chemotherapy treatment and by some miracle, he is still alive today, 12 years after his diagnosis.
Although his tumors are in a remission stage, Mark has been on chemotherapy for this past 12 years, keeping these tumors at bay. The medications have taken a toll not only on his immune system but financially as well. Mark has not been able to work for many years due to his weakened physical and mental state. He cannot stop taking the medicine or his tumors will most likely come back more plentiful & deadly than before. The medications make him very nauseous on a daily basis but there is no alternative.
It has been a struggle financially this past few years as he has no income from work and he is on the verge of losing his rented home of the past 11 years even though he takes in roommates. He does not eat many days or eats very minimally due to financial constraints. Life has become a very real struggle and to make matters worse, his car recently broke down which he does not have the money to get it repaired. On top of that, one of the roommates will be moving out in 2 months, putting another financial burden on his already stressed finances.
We are looking to help ease Mark’s burden by providing him some financial assistance to help keep him fed, help pay his ongoing medical bills and to keep a roof over his head for the next few years. There is so much he is dealing with on the health side that by lifting his financial burden, even for a time, this will help him tremendously so he does not have to worry about his next meal or where he is going to live in a few months.
Our goal is to raise enough money to keep him in his home for the next 2 years and to help cover his medical costs. We can't thank you enough for taking the time to look at Mark’s story and if you find it possible to do so, contributing to his cause. Every little bit is very much appreciated in keeping this wonderful man under roof with food in his belly and money to help pay his never ending medical & prescription bills.
