Mark's herniated disk

In the last 24 hours, Mark has quickly deteriorated from a giant, stoic (albeit a bit of a pansy) loving cuddle bug to not even being able to move on his own. The MRI was 3,000 and that tapped out his owners (my mom) on credit, and the hospital is estimating 5-7k for Mark's surgery to repair his herniated disk so that he can resume his normal happy Mark life. They don't allow financing and the best they can offer is paying half of the surgery now, and half later. We're getting all the help we can from friends and family and we didn't know where else to turn but here. My mom is pawning her valuables to get every penny for him that she can, we're contributing everything we can. Any little bit of help anyone can offer would be forever appreciated. He's my mom's best friend and has so many years left, we can't let it end like this.
