"Theatre professional, educator, designer, and consummate artist, Mark Wilson, created in a world of YES. There was never a creative idea, project, play, colleague or student that ever received a no after asking Mark for a thought, opinion, idea or creative contribution. Often paid for out of his own pocket and even when he had no reasonable time available, Mark would (tirelessly) take his own time and make it yours - with interest, with enthusiasm and love - for creativity, innovation, the proclamation of a new voice, and for the joy of spirited collaboration.
Mark raised the level of professionalism and theatrical creativity in St. Louis Theatre many times over and did so without regard for personal gain, just simply and beautifully for the joy of making art with any sincere student, colleague or community organization in need of his expertise. He was an example for us all of what a generous spirit could do in any community or artistic situation." (Chris Limber tribute)
