Help Marlee on her Cancer Journey
Donation protected
In August of 2023, the lives of 2 year old Marlee and her parents, Caleigh and Derek, were turned upside down when a tumor was discovered attached to Marlee’s adrenal gland. This tumor was discovered to be Neuroblastoma, a rare cancer mainly found in children under the age of 5, affecting the nervous system. After further testing it was found that the cancer had metastasized to her bones, giving her a Stage 4 High Risk diagnosis. The last 4 months of their lives have consisted of multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, long hospital stays, and the challenges of navigating their new normal. The next step of Marlee’s 18 month journey is traveling from Knoxville to Nashville, TN for her 1st Stem Cell Transplant in early January.
This has been an incredibly difficult time for the family, both mentally and financially. Caleigh has gone from full time at her job to part time in order to be there with Marlee during treatment. Both parents are about to be on unpaid leave while in Nashville for the stem cell procedure. We are fundraising to help with the family with their travel, bills (rent, car payment, etc.) and daily expenses while they are away from home and their jobs. They will be in Nashville for the 1st stem cell transplant for 4-6 weeks. Possibly longer.
