On 1/13/2023 I finished my day I realized I hadn’t seen my mom on her usual stroll to give my colony cats some love. When I went to see her I found my mom, my muse, my best friend had passed away.
It is hard to formulate words, it is hard to explain how empty my heart is, or how unbearable the next 40 years of my life will be without her. The way she smelled, the way she wrote, the fact that no one will ever call me Mer again.
She was so much more then a woman, she was a force to be reckoned with, a mighty storm that filled every room with laughter, and sometimes fear cause let’s be honest she was a bad ass.
The things she has done in this world are unmatched, he fearless nature, kindness toward nature and those in need, need to live for every moment are things I wish we all learned from her.
I don’t know how to navigate this new phase in my life, I don’t know how to tell my daughter the Abu she loves so much will no longer swing with her in the mornings. I wish I had more time, could have hugged her tighter then I ever had before, let her know she was a light in the world, and that I could never have been more proud to be anyone else’s daughter,
Marlo Baker I love you more then I will ever be able to express, I am the woman I am because of you, and my life will never be the same without you. I love you my mammushka
