Funeral & Burial Costs for Marlyn Allen

It is with a heavy heart that we are reaching out to our community in this time. The Allen family has been shocked by the sudden passing of our Matriarch. Marlyn Maria left us in her sleep on April 2nd at the age of 68. She will be grieved by her husband, four children and grandkids, along with all her family and friends who have had the honour of knowing her. Everywhere she went she carried a light with her. She adorned the most beautiful smile. She gave love and care to anyone she met. She loved all living things passionately and wholeheartedly. If anyone in our family deserves to be celebrated and held, it is Marlyn. She was a devout Muslim and believed fervently in her Allah.

We are now asking for your support in laying Marlyn to rest. We are hoping for support with the funeral costs, the expenses related to the Muslim burial proceedings as well as for the reception where we will provide food and refreshments to family and friends wanting to pay their respects.

The family will be hosting two separate visitations and a final burial. The first visitation opportunity will be held on Friday, April 04 at the Imam Ali Masjid Ottawa Mosque between the hours of 12-3PM. The second opportunity for visitation will be on Monday, April 07 at the McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home between 10AM-12PM, preceding the final burial which will be held at the Ottawa Muslim Cemetery located at 1668 Manotick Station Road, Greely, ON at 1PM. Followed by the reception which will be reserved for close family and friends (details to follow).

All additional funds collected will go directly to supporting the family with associated expenses as they manage Marlyn's final affairs.
