Marqueta Jackson (Lupus Warrior)

On November 04th, the world lost a beautiful purple butterfly. Marqueta made her mark in ways as a daughter, mother, sister, cousin, entrepreneur, and friend. Queta didn’t just motivate and encourage others through her journey with Lupus, but she truly inspired everyone to better people overall. She was very passionate about her Lupus testimony, Queta macs lunch and snacks, being the best mother, and loving everyone like they were her family.

For those who didn’t know Queta, she was diagnosed with Lupus in her early 20’s. Queta immediately became a Lupus Warrior. She began learning about her diagnosis, advocating for herself and others, participating in Lupus walks, and continued education. Queta’s journey was not easy by far, but she FOUGHT. She fought every single day! Queta embraced her journey by creating a life that brought her happiness. She loved making others day through her love for cooking. She opened Queta Macs Lunch and snacks and became a successful businesswoman. She continued loving and supporting others and raising the most beautiful Babygirl! Queta’s illness began to take a turn this year as she continued to fight as long as she could. Thursday morning Queta fought back until she was too exhausted to continue. Now it’s up to the rest of us to do our part to continue spreading awareness and share her story!

We have many memories and many reasons to be thankful that God lent Queta to us. She fulfilled her purpose in life and gave us all a reason to smile. She showed us all how to live life as a productive, responsible and caring citizen. We had so much admiration and respect for her.

Heaven is a bit brighter now with her arrival.
