In Loving Memory of Marquis Floyd
Sunrise: November 3rd, 1994 - Sunset: March 23rd, 2025
Marquis Floyd was a cherished family member and friend who left us on March 23, 2025. In honoring Marquis's memory and the profound impact he had on those around him, we would appreciate your support in helping his family during this difficult time.
Marquis was a proud member of the Tampa Bay community, born and raised in the area. A talented artist, he attended the Pinellas County Center for the Arts, trained at Straz Center's Next Generation Ballet, and imparted his knowledge as a teacher at Blake High School. He also served as an Artist in Residence at The Studio@620 in St. Petersburg. His journey led him to graduate from the prestigious Boston Conservatory.
Throughout his accomplished career, Marquis graced many renowned institutions and events, including the Dance Theater of Harlem, the Metropolitan Opera, the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and the VMA Awards. He will also be fondly remembered as a cherished member of Disney's The Lion King.
As we reflect on the joy Marquis brought into our lives, we invite you to contribute to this GoFundMe collection, which will directly support Marquis's mother, LaShanda Johnson, in covering expenses related to his passing. Any amount you can give will be deeply appreciated and will honor the legacy of a remarkable individual who touched so many hearts. Thank you for your kindness and compassion during this time of mourning.
