Marquise Andrew Buckner

Our beloved Marquise tragically passed away on Monday, November 7th by taking his own life. Marquise was a wonderful brother, son, family member, and friend, who truly touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind his sister, Essence Buckner, brother, Mark Buckner II, parents Latoya and Mark Buckner I, and grandparents, Alfred Johnson, Linda Johnson and Patricia Buckner.

Marquise was a senior at The Southern University and A&M College, majoring in Engineering. He was a member of The Human Jukebox (Crab Class of 2019) and loved the trombone. After graduation, he planed to move to Houston, TX. Marquise was a young man of few words but always filled the room with love and laughter.

We are all truly devastated by Marquise’s loss and were not prepared to bury our loved one, and the cost to do so. We want to give Marquise the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.
