Married 37 years battling cancer together

Hello, my name is Wendy. My brother Jeff and his wife have been married for 37 1/2 wonderful years. Jeff’s wife, Lilia, had recently gone through very extensive cancer treatments that have cost 100’s of thousand dollars. My brother has now been diagnosed with several different types of cancers to include esophageal cancer. He was laid off recently from a company he has served for 27 years and lost his medical insurance due to the cost to maintain. He is currently in the hospital with severe pneumonia and cancer diagnosis, and needs a Pet Scan to determine the extent of the cancer. The hospital will not transport due to no health insurance. They do not have a Pet scan device at the hospital he is currently receiving treatment in. The hospital states the bill will be well over $100,000 dollars. This is truly above my comprehension of how a truly hard working American family can afford to maintain their health and well being with the cost of healthcare today.
