**UPDATE**
People have been asking How can they help my Aunt Martha.
In December of 2024, she was diagnosed with 4th Stage Metastatic Colon Cancer which had spread to her Liver. Two weeks ago, she had a resection/ablation on her Liver. She continues to ask for your prayers and support but she also needs your donations to help with her mounting medical expenses from her surgeries and 6 months of Chemo treatments After that she will have a CP cat scans, MRI s, along with blood biopsies called Signatera.
Thank you all for your continued support...

Sharing an update from Aunt Martha as of August 19th...

As most of y’all know. Roger was taken by ambulance 3 weeks ago to the Emergency Room at AnMed Cannon. He was admitted with an Acute UTI. He was discharged 5 days later from the hospital. He is on Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy along with Home Health Nurse.
I am still out of work with no “Leave Time” left.
I will have to go every 3 months for Signatera DNA Tumor Cancer Cell Bloodwork to monitor how I am doing. I will have Scans and my Chemo Port flushed out. I will have to stay on Blood Thinner as long as I have my Port which my Blood Clot came from after my first Chemo Treatment. The Oncologist said 1 to 2 years just in case they have to use it again.
I thank God for giving me the strength to take care of Roger as I am recovering from Chemo Side Effects and the worst year in my life. Asking our family and friends to share our Fundraiser as you feel prompted to do so.
Please continue to pray for us. Thank you all for your prayers, kindness , and support.
You will never know in this life what it means to have your encouragement during this difficult time.

Love in Christ,
Martha

UPDATE: First let me say Thank You on behalf of my Aunt and family thank you for all your prayers....encouragement....thoughts and prayers and donations thus far during this journey Martha has been going through. My Aunt Martha (Marti) finished her 6 months of Chemo.
She had many side affects from chemo including Blood Clot in her Jugular Vein after the 1st Treatment, it was caused by her Chemo Port. She will be on Eliquis Blood Thinner as long as she to have her Chemo Port in. The Oncologist reports 2 years just in case they have to use it again. She has Chemo Induced Neuropathy, She had Hand Foot Syndrome from the toxicity from Chemo. Not counting the Chronic Fatigue, Hair Loss, Nausea and vomiting, and Gastric Issues.
She is not able to return to work yet. She has been out of work since November. Presently, she is having Bone Pain badly and Chronic Fatigue as she is in what is called her Recovery Period. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she continues to heal and starts a new healing journey! To GOD be the glory through all this.!

UPDATE: Martha's Cancer Battle: FOLFOX Chemo #6
She is half way there!! She has 6 more Treatments left. She has 3 more months of Chemotherapy.
She is still out of work on FLMA. The Medical Expenses are still pouring in. Please continue praying for her.
If you would like to make a donation it is definitely appreciated to help her in her time of need.

* Current Update 02.09.2024**

Martha had her 3rd Chemo treatment this week. After her 1st Chemo Treatment she developed a Blood Clot in her Jugular Vein from her Chemo Port. She suffered pain is still fully recovered from that. The Blood Thinner takes time to dissolve and the body has to re-absorb it. This was a set back for her. She will continue to have Chemo for the next 5 months. She is still out of work on FMLA.
Along with her treatments and bad side effects such as Neuropathy and cold sensitivity that she cannot touch or drink anything that is cold due to her Chemotherapy, they had to adjust her dosage. Her being a diabetic they have had to cut back also has to cut the dosage of her Steroid dosage. She is also incurring more and more expenses. We have family and friends who continue to reach out asking how they can help She continues to need your love, support, prayers, encouragement and donations.
If you have given Thank you and Bless you -
If you haven't please consider doing so. She is such a blessing to our family and everyone she knows and comes in contact with, and what an addition to her testimony this journey will be!
❤️

**UPDATE**
I just wanted to first off thank everyone for their prayers and donations to my Aunt Martha....and give an update

My Aunt Martha has Stage 3 Colon Cancer. She came through the surgery great but due to positive lymph nodes will have to take Chemotherapy. This means she will incurr even more bills and missed time from work.
Please continue to keep her and Roger in your prayers and if you feel led to give or make a donation i kmow they would appreciate it. Please feel free to contact me if you want her mailing address and not go through this page.
Again...Thank you for all the prayers and please continue praying for her.

On behalf of our family we are starting this GoFundMe for our dear aunt Martha (Marti) Cannon Gravely. She is such a blessing to our family and all who know her. This time of year can be hard on anyone but those facing many seen and unseen medical bills from cancer can make it even harder. We wanted to do a benefit but because of the time of year along with food cost etc...we felt like this GoFundMe would best fit her and Uncle Rogers needs.

People are asking “How can we help?”
Martha was diagnosed with Colon Cancer and having a Re-Section Colon Surgery on 11.22.2023 the day before Thanksgiving.

Martha is no stranger to the word cancer. She is the 7th one in her family to have the diagnosis of cancer. Six of her brothers and sisters had Lung and Brain Cancer.

The Medical bills are beginning to pour in not on just Martha, but Roger’s medical bills are too and this is just the beginning of their fight.

As community members we are asking and pleading for your love, support and prayers on them during this hard time when not just one of them needs your help but both of them. If you feel led to donate in any way we know they would truly be appreciative beyond words and you will be blessed for it. Please use this GoFundMe page...contact her directly or her daughter Leah Willis...Niece Tina Martin or Niece Lorraine Land. You may even mail a check to them directly at 202 Artie Dr. Pickens, SC 29671.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and considering a donation to this family. GOD Bless
