Support for the passing of Martha Herrera

I am the oldest grandson of Martha Herrera. I am writing this on behalf of our entire family. Our grandma Martha was diagnosed with Covid-19 and was admitted to Methodist Hospital on January 20th. Her birthday was two days later on the 22nd. Some of us had the opportunity to sing happy birthday to her through a WebEx video where she blessed us with one last smile.
After 7 days in the ICU, Martha succumbed to the virus. She passed away on Thursday the 27th, without being able to say goodbye to her family.
This loss is deeply personal to many of us, which makes us realize that there is no one that can ever make us feel the kind of joy and love that she gave to many of us.
Martha came to the US when she was 16 years old to seek a better life for herself and her family. She was very proud to earn her citizenship and grow a large and loving family.
Martha is survived by her children, Leonore, Marthaelena, Miriam, Abel and Pilar; her eight siblings and a growing list of grand children. She now rests in heaven with her late daughter Arcelia and her Husband Pilar.
To help us pay tribute to our wonderful mother/grandma, we are asking for any financial support. We hope that the community of friends and family can join together to provide anything to help us through this sadness. We will use these funds to cover the costs of Martha's final resting place.
