Martha's campaign for Brooks Academies of Texas

My name is Martha Avila, and I am honored to be writing on behalf of Brooks Academies of Texas here in San Antonio.  As a parent and as an employee of Brooks Academies, I have the privilege of seeing our amazing staff at work on a daily basis. I’m a true believer that every school staff member is a crucial part to a successful school.When you walk by our classrooms, you are able to see the love and dedication our teachers have for our students. Our teachers are more than educators, they are caregivers, mentors, nurses, counselors and above all our children's heroes. Our teachers spend 8-10 hours every day with our children in a classroom and continue into the evening preparing for the next day. A teacher's gratification comes from the joy of seeing a child master a new skill. Every time our children master a new concept, they get the same feeling of joy we do as a parent when our children experience any of their breakthrough moments. A teacher gives with their whole heart with nothing expected in return.  During this time of uncertainty, we often forget the people that continue to make our world a better place. This holiday we would love to do something special to honor our amazing staff. We would like to provide each of our teachers and support staff with a small token of appreciation. With your help each staff member will receive a school zip up sweater that cost approximately $45 per sweater. All proceeds will be used to honor our staff during the holidays. Brooks Academies of Texas has been blessed with the most nurturing and caring teachers.  Our teachers work year-round even during their time off in the summer. Our amazing teachers prepare endlessly for their students. During the summer our teachers attend several conferences and trainings to ensure that our students are receiving up to date rigorous learning. A teacher's day never ends. They come to school every day with a smile on their face ready to greet their students. We don’t always appreciate that fact that a teacher is an unnoticed role model in our child's life.  
In order to make this a memorable and successful event, we are asking our community for help. Brooks Academies of Texas has 4 outstanding campuses with approximately 375 employees. I’m truly grateful for your consideration in making a monetary donation on behalf of our teachers and support staff. Our amazing teachers do some much for our students year-round. With your help our teachers will truly feel the appreciation of our community.
