Martin Gray's Skydive for the Forfar Fighting Fund

Hi, Martin here. I am doing a sponsored skydive on 27th April 2025 to raise funds for the Forfar Fighting Fund!

I am celebrating my 40th anniversary of working with Forfar Athletic. I will also turn 55 this year.

I am the kit man and groundsman for Forfar Athletic. I first became involved with the Loons as a schoolboy when my dad managed to arrange for me to come in as a ball boy. I remember being so excited about it and I could have had no idea at the time that it was just the start of a lifelong relationship with the Club.

I then started volunteering to clean the players boots and I would go to away games on the bus with the players. I can remember like it was yesterday, being approached by the chairman Sam Smith to ask if I would take on the role of kit man which I absolutely jumped at. The rest is history!

Over my forty years with the Loons I have made so many friends from supporters, players, management teams and Directors of the Club. What I really want to do now is give something back to the Club which has been so good to me throughout my life.

The Forfar Fighting Fund was set up to help the current gaffer, Jim Weir, to strengthen the Loons playing squad. Every penny that has been raised through the Fund will be given to the manager to bring in new players.
