Martin Haalstra Family Fund

Denise & Todd Clark are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Lisa, Caleb, Ethan & Avery Haalstra
The world has lost a father, husband, brother, son, great friend and over all an incredible man.
Due to complications from Covid-19 Martin lost his life on November 29/2020.
Martin Haalstra will always be remembered for his huge heart, generosity, hard working and out-spoken personality, infectious energy and his outrageous sense of humour. Martin was definitely larger than life.
His outlook on life made every conversation with him exciting and someone you always looked forward to chatting with. His home was everyone’s home and he made everyone feel like they were family. It was the place you always wanted to be.
Martin was a dedicated father to his three kids, Caleb, Ethan and Avery. With Caleb and his desire for all things hockey Martin was there by his side cheering him along the way and showing Caleb how to achieve his goals. Ethan and Martin could be seen and heard discussing football, wagering bets and talking about Ethan’s passions for the future. Avery was Martin’s princess. You could often see Avery in new shoes, boots, sandals, dresses (always on sale!) all do to Martin’s love for his little girl. Avery has been learning how to ride horses and Martin as dedicated as he could be, was often seen at her lessons with Martin beaming from ear to ear.
Martin adored Lisa his wife celebrating 20 years of marriage just this year. Their tales of adventures together were something to be admired. There was always that look Martin gave Lisa and you knew how much they loved each other. As a family the Haalstra’s did everything together. We always admired their family pulling up to a sporting event and how the whole family came together to support each other.
Your love, prayers, text and abundance of compassion to the family are appreciated. As close friends of Martin, Lisa, Caleb, Ethan and Avery we wanted to offer hope to all 3 kids and give them something to believe in.
This Go Fund Me page will help alleviate some of the burden this incredible family has incurred to help with funeral expenses, education for the children and also to keep the kids busy and in the activities they love and cherish. This will undoubtedly heal with this loss, as best as they can, by being active and surrounded by a network of friends and family.
Please help us give this family financial support during this very difficult time.
Times are tough but the human spirit always prevails.
