(Martin) John Scharpf
Donation protected
With a very heavy heart, I am arranging this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friend, Susan Scharpf and sons, Dylan & Seth, due to the unexpected and tragic loss of John Scharpf, loving husband and father.
Friday March 6th 2020, John went out for a jog on Mt. Soledad when he experienced an unexpected heart attack and tragically passed away.
John has been a very close family friend for many years. My son and his boys, Dylan & Seth, have grown up together. John was always the first one out with the kids playing in the ocean, boogie boarding, surfing, & brought the biggest shovel to dig sand castles. Whether it was the boys playing sports, riding bmx bikes, or skateboards John was always there beside them with a big smile on his face.
He was a loving father to both his children. A role model not only to his sons but, to all of his children's friends. He worked at Spring Valley Middle School for many years as a Physical Education teacher. John loved completing projects around the house and turned the yard into fun area for the kids to enjoy. John was outgoing, caring, always generous with his time, and loved his community. He will be sadly missed by everyone. All funds will go directly to the family for the funeral and any other additional expenses.
The family is extremely grateful for any financial support and kind words of encouragement. Please feel free to share pictures or memories of John.
