Martin Stroke Surgery
Donation protected
On February 18, Martin began experiencing severe headaches. His family rushed him to the children’s hospital in Caracas, Venezuela, where doctors diagnosed him with a stroke caused by hydrocephalus. After undergoing several tests and treatments, Martin had surgery, but he still needs another operation to install a valve in his brain to fully recover.
While dealing with his son’s medical crisis, Oscar, Martin’s father, suffered a motorcycle accident. He fractured his left arm and is now unable to work. The family has already exhausted all their savings on medical expenses, and now they face the enormous burden of paying for both Martin's ongoing treatments and Oscar’s arm surgery.
Many may wonder why insurance isn’t covering these costs, or if they even have insurance. The truth is, Venezuela is facing a severe social and economic crisis, and the healthcare system barely functions. Unfortunately, people are forced to pay out of their own pockets for medical care, and at this point, Oscar is no longer able to work and continues to struggle with mounting medical expenses.
We are reaching out to the kindness of others who can offer support. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in helping them through this challenging time.
We sincerely appreciate any help you can provide—thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
