Martin’s run for Rudi
Donation protected
As some may know, my son Leo was diagnosed last year with a rare brain tumour. After a tough year that saw us looked after by the most incredible team of NHS staff in Edinburgh and Manchester we are now in a good place with Leo recovering well.
Alongside us, another Edinburgh family were going through a similar situation. Rudi, a superstar of a boy (and Hearts fan) also had a rare tumour and underwent almost identical treatment to Leo.
After a few months in the clear that saw Rudi return to school, enjoy life and look to the future I’m incredibly sad to say that his cancer has returned. The NHS can do no more for this wonderful boy. Rudi’s family are now looking to raise funds to have him taken to America where there may be some hope. They need £250k.
On Sunday 29th May I will be running the Edinburgh half marathon. This date is a memorable one as it’s the date Leo got his cancer diagnosis in 2021.
I am looking to do my bit for this incredibly close to home situation and raise as much as possible to help young Rudi get what he needs.
Please dig deep and do what you can. Every single penny counts.
Thank you!
