Marty Madigan's journey to recovery

Hi everyone,

Many of you know Marty Madigan from Parry Sound.

He's a dedicated employee, a person to lean on for many friends and family, and can lighten a stranger's day with his sense of humor.

Recently, Marty experienced a massive infection, where he became septic and had blood clots that were killing the cells in his leg. As a result, they had to take his entire right leg from just above the knee. Doctors have said they believe that his old heart valve was the cause of the infection, so they have decided to perform open heart surgery to replace it. They are flying Marty down to Toronto hopefully within the next few days.

Not only does he have a long road to recovery, but Marty has been a truck driver his entire life. Losing his driving leg will require him to have accommodating equipment to keep his license, which I don't imagine every company would provide. He is also the sole provider for his household.

Marty is always happy to lend a helping hand when you need it, and never expected anything in return- Except maybe a coffee. Haha.
