Marty and Nancy Smith Fly High Family Legacy Fund

Marty and Nancy Smith were tragically killed in a dune buggy accident on April 27, 2020. They were doing what they loved, going to watch the sunset together at the sand dunes. Marty was a motocross legend to many ; To our family, Marty and Nancy were a legendary love story. Father, Son, Brother, Papa, Uncle. Mother, Daughter, Sister, Grandma, Aunt, Cousin… they leave behind a legacy of enduring and unconditional love that we will always treasure.
This fund is to support Marty and Nancy’s 3 children and their families. To know Marty and Nancy was to love them, and their generous spirits are a part of all of us. Please consider contributing in their honor any amount that speaks to you. Marty was a mentor and idol to youth and adults alike in motocross, and a man of faith who had a humble spirit. He took so much pride in taking the best care of their Alpine home and making family memories by taking their motorhome to the desert, teaching his grandsons Payton and Ethan to ride. Nancy was an angel on Earth and the heart of our family. She filled the room with infectious energy and joy, her playful spirit and genuine nature. Nancy would do anything for anyone, and no human was small in her eyes, everyone deserved kindness and love, and she gave that with every ounce of her being. Her 2 grandsons and 5 granddaughters made her beautiful blue eyes sparkle even brighter.
There is so much more we could say about Marty and Nancy, but it is what we feel that cannot be conveyed. Our entire family will strive to emulate the love and compassion that Nancy and Marty brought to this world, and we will honor their legacy through acts of kindness and supporting their proudest accomplishment – their beautiful family.
