“Queridos hermanos y amigos,

Hoy nos llena de tristeza el enterarnos del fallecimiento de nuestro querido hermano Marvin Delgado quien durante años formó parte de la iglesia que muchos de nosotros compartimos y a quien siempre recordaremos con cariño.

Es especialmente difícil saber que Hno.Marvin no tiene familiares cercanos aquí en América, pero sí tiene amigos y una comunidad de fe que hoy está llamada a ser esa familia que tanto necesita. Él deja un legado importante en Costa Rica, donde un hijo y nietos esperan su regreso, aunque sea para darle el último adiós.

Por ello, hoy los invito a unirnos en amor y solidaridad para apoyar la repatriación de su cuerpo y permitir que su familia pueda despedirse de él en su tierra natal. Yo Xiomara Vargas soy la encargada de recibir la ayuda económica y he abierto está cuenta en GoFundMe para facilitar las donaciones. Recordemos que nuestro llamado como creyentes es estar presentes para nuestros hermanos, en las buenas y en las malas, y esta es una oportunidad de mostrar ese amor que Dios nos manda tener.

Today we are filled with sadness to learn of the death of our dear brother Marvin Delgado who for years was part of the church that many of us share and whom we will always remember fondly.

It is especially difficult to know that Brother Marvin has no close relatives here in America, but he does have friends and a community of faith that today is called to be that family that he so desperately needs. He leaves an important legacy in Costa Rica, where a son and grandchildren await his return, even if it is to say their last goodbye.

For this reason, today I invite you to join us in love and solidarity to support the repatriation of his body and allow his family to say goodbye to him in his homeland. I, Xiomara Vargas, am in charge of receiving the financial aid and have opened this GoFundMe account to facilitate donations. Let us remember that our calling as believers is to be present for our brothers, in good times and bad, and this is an opportunity to show that love that God commands us to have.
