Mary Ann Dugan

Friends and family, it is with heavy hearts that Becky and I have to let you know my grandmother Mary has suffered a devastating and traumatic spinal cord injury. On January 26th, she had a heart attack and went through a window. Her heart had stopped and EMS performed life saving measures. Mary has a brain injury with very minimal brain activity, 3 fractured vertebrae in her neck, a heart injury, multiple broken ribs and is in a deep coma as well as other injuries. She is in a vegetative state, and is not expected to make it. She has been on a ventilator since the accident and we now have to make the choice to take her off the ventilator.

For anyone that would like to see Mary she is at Ruby Memorial Hospital located in Morgantown WV in the SICU, room 2. You are more than welcome to visit as doctors have said if you want to see her, please do so soon.

This is the hardest thing we have done and with it being so unexpected we are not financially prepared to handle the costs of arrangements for her. Anyone that knows Mary, knows she’s the most whole hearted woman and she deserves a beautiful celebration of life.
