Mary Downs

Many of you know that our friend Mary Downs developed Guillain-Barre Syndrome at the end of January.  Since then she has had a number of setbacks including several bouts with pneumonia.  Currently, she is at the skilled nursing facility at Whittier, and while her recovery remains very slow, she is doing everything she can, including extra PT,  to be able  to come home as soon as possible.   The Covid-19 Pandemic has added the extra complications of not being able to see her girls or have other visitors.  Before the Stay at Home orders were issued, a group of her friends and co-workers had begun plans for a June fundraiser to help Mary with the expenses related to her recovery and any modifications that may be needed to her home..  The event we had planned will not be able to occur in person, but we hope that we can virtually gather to show our support for Mary, Nicole and Kelly through messages and donations.   We realize that these are challenging times for so many, please know that what ever you can give whether it is words of encouragement or a monetary donation,  will help to cheer Mary along in her recovery!
