It is with great excitement to announce my participation in this year’s Dancing for our Heroes event. Inspired by the popular television show, “Dancing with the Stars”, this local interpretation allows teams to raise money for charities in Anderson County.
I am also excited to announce my dance partner, Miles Bryan, an Anderson native who will help bring this performance to life. Miles and I have been working very hard to put together a great show for your entertainment, but we need your support.
I will be participating in effort to raise funds for The United Way of Anderson County, specifically the Weekend BackPack SnackPack Program.
Childhood hunger is a silent epidemic that affects nearly 1 in 4 children. For those affected, Friday night begins with the Weekend Meal Gap, two days when school lunch programs are not available and the children have little or nothing to eat.
This program provides children with a bag of ready-to-eat foods on Friday to take home for the weekend, when school meals are not available.
I have committed to raise $3,000 to support this program through a campaign leading up to the event. Please help me reach this goal by making a donation to benefit hundreds of children in Anderson County.
Mark your calendars for this event scheduled April 20th, 2018 at 6:30pm at the Anderson Civic Center.
