Mary Lou Goss - Paradise California Fire

Mary Lou Goss is my cousin. 
She is a 76 year old cancer survivor.  She is a widow living on Social Security. 
Today, we just found the pictures on the Cal-Fire site and now we know that she lost everything in the Paradise Camp Fire.   Her 1974 mobile home, garage, attached game room all burned to ashes.
As soon as she received the evacuation call she opened her garage to see smoke everywhere.  She had no time to pack.  She drove through the smoke and fire.  The drive took hours and her car was overheating and running out of gas.  Her cell phone did not work.  She still has no idea how she made it out.  She followed the cars in front of her and the directions of the firemen.  She drove to Chico to stay with her niece.  Upon arriving she was so relieved to find that her sister and brother-in-law also made it out of Paradise.    We are so grateful that they are all safe.
Although Mary Lou would never ask for help, she is going to need it to rebuild her life.  She plans to go back to Paradise.
