Mary Tarkok - Fighting Breast Cancer

Hello, my name is Cynthia Rono. I am fundraising for my wonderful mother, Mary!

Our family recently received the most shocking news these past few weeks. We just wanted to share on behalf of her the details of what’s been happening and where we are currently. February 14th was the call that confirmed that mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Not only did this shatter her, but it was also a reality check for most of us. She tested positive for cancer cells on the left breast, in the early stages. Thank God that it was caught early enough. On March 14, mom went in for a mastectomy surgery. The surgery was successful and mom is now at home on her journey to recovery.

Thankfully insurance was able to cover the majority of her surgery, however, there are still out-of-pocket expenses that need to be met. We are kindly asking for not only financial support but prayers and words of encouragement as often as you can.

Nothing will stop her, she is still fearless, selfless and powerfull!
