Mary Varela funeral arrangements

Our beloved mother, Mary Varela, has faced every challenge in her life with grace, a smile, and prayer. Her battle with stage 4, metastatic cancer has been no different. She continues to rely on the Lord for peace as this horrible disease takes more and more from her each day, inspiring everyone that knows her.

This is not easy for our family to do, but we’d like to share that Mom is now in hospice care, and we humbly ask for your support. Mom devoted almost 40 years to public service, having worked for Texas DPS, Austin ISD, and the City of Austin. She raised her daughters alone, and yet always had hugs, prayers, love, and food for anyone that needed her. She’s been a blessing to so many, and we would like to make sure she has the comfort and peace she deserves in her final moments. To be able to do so, we recognize we must lean on our friends and family. Please know that your help is sincerely appreciated. It will help us to be able to care for her, provide her the medications she needs, and to plan for proper services when the time arrives.

We have $3100.00 on stand by but we still need funds for all the extras that we aren't aware of yet.
