Durante los últimos seis años, con la fortaleza y ayuda de Dios, MaryCarmen ha enfrentado valientemente un raro y agresivo tipo de cáncer, un sarcoma que representa solo el 1% de todos los casos. Aunque no existen tratamientos curativos conocidos, la detección temprana y la cirugía inmediata son esenciales. A lo largo de su lucha, MaryCarmen se ha mantenido firme como viendo al invisible, habiendo pasado por seis intervenciones quirúrgicas.

En octubre pasado, se le detectó un nuevo tumor en el estómago. Lamentablemente, los lentos procedimientos del sistema público de salud han hecho que transcurran más de tres meses desde la detección, agravando su estado.

MaryCarmen necesita ver nuevamente la mano de Dios. Requiere con urgencia una cirugía altamente compleja para intentar extirpar el tumor, preservando parte de su estómago y utilizando técnicas mínimamente invasivas que aseguren una mejor recuperación y calidad de vida.

Hemos contactado a uno de los mejores cirujanos digestivos oncológicos de España, conocido por su experiencia en estas técnicas, quien está dispuesto a operar este jueves 6 de febrero en un hospital de Barcelona cubierto por nuestra mutua de seguros. Sin embargo, necesitamos cubrir los honorarios del cirujano y su equipo, que incluye un anestesista, un ayudante y un instrumentista.

MaryCarmen sigue siendo un pilar fundamental en nuestras vidas. Esposo, hijos, nietas y toda la comunidad de la iglesia donde servimos la amamos y necesitamos. Oramos fervientemente para que una vez más Dios nos permita ver una nueva victoria en esta batalla. Su fe inquebrantable, amor, dedicación y servicio han sido un ejemplo y una bendición para muchos, y nuestra esperanza en Dios es que continúe siendo así, en las mejores condiciones posibles.

For the past six years, with the strength and help of God, MaryCarmen has bravely faced a rare and aggressive type of cancer, a sarcoma that accounts for only 1% of all cases. While there are no known curative treatments, early detection and immediate surgery are essential. Throughout her struggle, MaryCarmen has remained steadfast seeing Him who is invisible, having undergone six surgical procedures.

This past October, a new tumor was detected in her stomach. Unfortunately, the slow procedures of the public health system have resulted in more than three months passing since its detection, worsening her condition.

MaryCarmen needs to see the hand of God at work again. She urgently requires a highly complex surgery to attempt to remove the tumor, preserving part of her stomach and utilizing minimally invasive techniques to ensure better recovery and quality of life.

We have reached out to one of Spain's top oncological digestive surgeons, known for his expertise in these techniques, who is willing to operate this Thursday, February 6th, at a hospital in Barcelona covered by our insurance. However, we need to cover the fees for the surgeon and his team, which includes an anesthetist, an assistant, and a surgical nurse.

MaryCarmen remains a fundamental pillar in our lives. Her husband, children, grandchildren, and the entire church community where we serve love and need her. We fervently pray that God allows us to witness another victory in this battle. Her unwavering faith, love, dedication, and service have been an example and a blessing to many, and our hope in God is that she continues to be so, in the best possible conditions.
