Do you remember the first time you held something ancient in your hands, something millions of years old? That sense of awe, the thrill of discovery—it’s an experience everyone should have the chance to feel. At Maryland Fossil Finders (MFF), we’re on a mission to make fossil hunting in Maryland accessible and inclusive for everyone, regardless of background, ability, or experience.

But we need your help to get started.

Maryland is rich in fossil sites, yet access to these natural treasures is often limited. Many people—whether due to physical barriers, lack of resources, or simply not knowing where to go—miss out on the opportunity to connect with our state’s ancient history. That’s why we’re launching MFF, a nonprofit dedicated to breaking down these barriers and creating a welcoming community for all fossil enthusiasts.

Your donation will help us:

Increase Access: Partner with local government, officials, and landowners to gain safe and respectful access to fossil-rich sites across Maryland.
Provide Education: Offer free fossil hunting classes to teach participants about geology, fossils, conservation, and the deep history beneath our feet.
Promote Inclusivity: Ensure that our programs are accessible to everyone, including underserved communities and people with disabilities.
