“Mary’s Fund housed at FCCF” - Running for Mary
On October 1, 2023, Neasa will be running the Wineglass Marathon in Corning, NY. She will be running these 26.2 miles in honor of Mary Joy Sherlach and to raise funds and awareness for Mary's Fund.
Mary was the school psychologist at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut; she gave her life to protect the students she served. Her family and friends created Mary’s Fund to honor her legacy and continue her important work.
The mission of the fund is to support programs that aid the mental and social wellness of children and adolescents as Mary did in her day-to-day life.
Neasa, a Sandy Hook resident, is passionate about running for Sandy Hook family foundations in order to help raise funds and awareness for the incredible work that continues to create a positive impact in our communities to this day. She is grateful to Bill Sherlach for "gifting" her the honor to run for Mary and Mary's Fund this year. Neasa said "although it might not be pretty, I promise to run with a heart full of intention, honoring Mary's life and legacy."
Please help support Mary's Fund and its dedication to supporting mental mental health programs for children.
