Mary’s Hands Fundraiser Medjugorje

Donation protected
Medjugorje is part of Bosnia and Herzegovina and is a region that deeply depends on tourism. During the current COVID-19 pandemic, many residents of Medjugorje have fallen well below the poverty line due to the closure of the sole factory in Mostar where over 3000 jobs were lost. The COVID crisis is continuing to hit people hard all over the world, however the Mary’s Hands Charity in Medjugorje are pleading for help.

There are no such things as unemployment benefits, furlough or redundancies for those who have lost their jobs. With no income whatsoever, families are struggling for basic necessities never mind the luxury of Christmas. Jakov Colo, the leader of Mary’s Hands, is fundraising money for these families and will provide for them locally. At present, the charity is struggling greatly with the task of providing just one meal a day for 500 families in the community.

All donations, big or small, would be greatly appreciated. All money will be used directly to help those families facing the struggles of unemployment and unable to afford food.

Thank you all for taking the time to read about the cause. Please support a charity in need this Christmas! All proceeds go directly to Mary’s Hands Charity.
