Mary's Liver Transplant NASH Syn.
Donation protected
Mary Bostwick has been given a second chance at life by being cleared for a Liver transplant at Duke University Medical Center after a long battle with diabetes. She is currently waiting for the call that a liver is available. Although her husbands Russ' insurance from his retirement from the US Navy covers some of the medical bills, he has been unable to work to subsidize his pension to help with travel expenses and co-pays and travel back and forth from their home in Virginia. Additionally, they are required to stay within one hour of the hospital for six weeks after the transplant. Russ has also been fighting skin cancer and has undergone several surgeries himself.
