Mashy <~~~~ click here for a video <3 Mashy "Mashed Potatoes" is a two-year-old happy golden doodle who loves to play ball and swim. He has a lot of energy! His parents (Michelle Ring and Michael Portorsnok from Tarrytown, New York) and older brother Dexter, love him to the moon and back. On July 1st, Mashy was attending a family party in Connecticut. He was playing ball in the front yard. The ball went into the street and Mashy was struck by a car. He sustained multiple critical injuries. Mashy was rushed to Bolton Veterinary Hospital in Connecticut where he was treated for a 'pneumothorax', which is air leaking from his lungs into his chest cavity. After two extractions, he underwent surgery to put in two chest tubes to release the leaking air. Today, he was transported to Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus, NJ. He had a CT scan which will determine if he needs lung surgery. Mashy also fractured his pelvis in two areas and will need another surgery to put in plates to help him walk, jump and play again. In addition, he will also require extensive physical therapy once he is released from the hospital. Michelle and Michael are so appreciative of any support you can give them. They have acquired bills over $14,000 in just two days.
