Mask Up Brevard
Donation protected
We are currently accepting donations to help fund the materials needed to make reusable and washable face masks for those in need in our community. We are donating these masks to individuals who struggle to find them available elsewhere. These masks are being donated free of charge and come in many different patterns. As of 4-13 we have donated 2114 reusable masks.
This started out for a few friends, but through word of mouth the demand has steadily increased; to date we have spent roughly $6,000 and while we would love to continue making these face masks the expense is becoming more than we can handle alone. Each mask cost approximately $5. We now have several seamstresses working on this project and are trying to keep them supplied. We know the need is there, so if you have the means we urge you to donate to this cause.
These are not medical grade masks, but are made out 3 layers of 100 percent cotton, with an over the ear elastic, and bendable nose piece to fit the face. While not as effective as the N95 masks, these may bring some protection and degree of comfort to those who wear them.
All extra funds will be donated to a local charity. For any questions or requests, please email us at [email redacted] And please follow our new facebook page, Mask Up Brevard, for important updates!
