Masks for Marquette
Update 5/14/2020 - Our group will be sewing masks for students and school staff for the start of the next school year. If you want to donate for materials for this endeavor we greatly appreciate it. We will also continue to donate masks to those that need them in our original target groups as the need arises and we have masks available. Thank you for your support thus far! We couldn't have done it without you!
Masks for Marquette started in late March 2020 as the COVID-19 virus was at our doorstep. Since that time we met our first goal of making10,000 masks. These masks are being distributed to healthcare workers, nursing homes, adult care services, police/fire/EMS, essential service workers and our at-risk population throughout Marquette County. As our world changes to a time where masks are an everyday necessity we will continue to make masks to distribute. We have hundreds of individual community members that are sewing on their kitchen tables to make this happen along with nose piece makers and donors of supplies. If you want to contribute for the purchase of supplies we appreciate your support. Thank you so much for helping us to support our community and keep our friends, family and neighbors safe!
