Mason is Going to World!

My name is Mason  Lucas. I am a 7th Grader at the Dayton Regional S.T.E.M. School. I belong to a group of young, creative engineers called Destination Imagination. (D.I.) We collectively design, build and test  innovative solutions to the given challenges. These creative ideas allow us to compete for scholarships and other rewarding oppurtunities. This year our D.I. team took second place at State in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. This qualifies us to attend GLOBAL FINALS 2017, in Knoxville, TN.
       Global Finals is a competition where 45 states, 14 countries and more than 1400 D.I. teams come together. The Finals consists of several challenge solution categories with themes.  Each team is required to come up with a creative challenge solution.

       In order to attend we are required as a team to deposit $1500. In addition to a deposit we are required to register and purchase meal plans, as well as hotel and travel expenses. 
       I am hoping to raise the $2600 to pay for the admission fees, travel expenses as well as some food. I am very grateful for this opportunity as well as the chance to learn from other D.I. teams. I am so excited to see how fun this is going to be for our team and to see all of our hard work complete!
