SPANG, Mason David

July 30, 2003 – February 21, 2025

It is with extreme sadness that the family announces the passing of their dear son, brother, uncle, grandson, and friend, Mason on Friday, February 21, 2025, at his home at the young age of 21.

Mason will be forever missed by his loving parents, Ken and Paula; his siblings, Gerrit (Sam), Damon (Sydney), Victoria, Cassandra, and Sophia; his sweet niece, Olivia; his beloved Grandpa Gerry Spang and Grandma Katherine Schneider; as well as numerous family members and friends who were fortunate to know him.

Mason was predeceased by his Grandma Alice Spang and Grandpa Jim Schneider.

Mason was in his 3rd year of University, working diligently to complete his Science Degree, with a love of Chemistry. He was passionate about learning and had a bright future ahead of him. In addition to his academic pursuits, Mason loved playing soccer and also refereed games, where he shared his love for the sport with others. He was an avid gamer, always enjoying time with his friends, and found peace in taking walks or bike rides, embracing the simple pleasures of life.

Mason’s kind heart, sense of humour, and loving nature touched all who knew him. He will be truly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

A Celebration of Mason’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with a viewing one hour prior to the service, at Evergreen Funeral Home, 16204 Fort Road, NW, Edmonton, AB. Cremation will follow the service.
