Maspeth to Montauk Bike Ride for Mental Health

On Saturday, April 29, 2023, a small group of friends and colleagues of Hallen Construction plan to spend the day bike riding from Maspeth to the Montauk Lighthouse, the easternmost point on Long Island. Hallen Construction is a major distribution contractor for the NYC area, performing natural gas pipeline installation, repair & maintenance for the area’s utilities as well as pipeline and conduit services.

In 2023, Hallen Construction is launching a mental health initiative. In doing so, we want to emphasize the connection between mental health and physical well-being and highlight the risk among our workforce. Did you know construction workers are five times more likely to die from suicide than any job-related hazard? It is with this in mind that we have chosen to turn our courageous 126-mile ride into a fundraiser which will bring support and awareness to the wonderful work of Hope House Ministries.

Founded in 1980, Hope House Ministries provides compassionate & competent care to roughly 2,000 folks annually throughout Long Island experiencing mental illness, depression, suicidal ideation, and addiction. Please join us in this effort to support the extraordinary work of this multi-faceted outreach organization. All donations on this page will go directly to the organization to help them continue their excellent work.
