Mass Orville Forbes’ Funeral and Services Expenses
Donation protected
Dear family and friends of Mr Orville Forbes,
It is with deep sadness we mourn the loss of a Patriot, a Pioneer, a Giant, and a Legend. There are many other ways to describe Mass Orville. We can sum up the above description in five profound words, “A Man after God’s own Heart”. Mr. Orville exudes selflessness. He didn’t think merely of himself, but he touched the lives of every single person that came in contact with him. He was really the Good Samaritan in Wilderness district and the surrounding communities which is in Manchester.
Mass Orville was the only shop keeper or grocery store owner in the area back in the 1950’s and the 1960’s. He would credit (trust) groceries to anyone who enter his shop. Our parents would send us as children with a note with a list of groceries needed with no money, granted it will be paid when produced were sold from the farm and money was collected. He never turned away a person without fulfilling their request. In the early days he was the Credit Union of the day, not in money but in Groceries.
For all those who knew Mass Orville, we
all have different life experiences with him.
I had a conversation with his son Burnett Forbes who is organizing and arranging his Funeral. As you might know, one of Mass Orville’s daughter passed away a couple months ago and another daughter who passed over a year ago. So you can see the financial strain upon his family.
Mass Orville died at the age of around 109.
For this reason, we reaching out to friends, family and just anyone who would like to sacrifice their financial means to support the family in this time of need. On behalf of the family, we want to thank you in advance for your sacrificial giving.
The Lord blessed you richly as you support this very urgent initiative. Thanks!
