Master Hinkle RAGE-REMEMBER ALWAYS GIVE EVERYTHING

Donation protected
Just wanted to get this going for Anna & the kids... this go fund me will go directly to Master's family for funeral expenses & maybe some travel expenses as most of his extended family (sisters, dad, nieces, & nephews) are in AL. I will update this with more info about the funeral as I learn more.

Most people may not realize this but people with disabilities cannot get life insurance & therefore any post-death arrangements are out of pocket for the family.

It's been one week since Master left us & we have already raised 1/4 of our goal for his family. Thank you so much to everyone that has donated and/or shared this fundraiser. Master is greatly missed by so many & it's beautiful to see all the lives he touched with his radiant spirit. Fly high & watch over us Superman. RAGE forever ❤

Obituary of Master Hinkle
July 23, 1987 - Feb 15, 2024

Master Hinkle, age 36, started his battle with End-Stage Kidney Disease in 2021. Since his passing on Friday, February 15, 2024, we can be assured a new journey has begun because he had great faith and endless love for a greater power.

Born on July 23, 1987, in Birmingham, AL, Master had the gift of laughter and taught those around him how to find amusement in most situations. He cherished time with family and friends but took the time out of a hectic and challenging schedule to make memories and celebrate life. Nicknamed “Superman,” he was well loved by all and had a big heart. Nationally he was known for his talent as a disabled athlete and initiated the phrase R.A.G.E. Forever! (Remember Always Give EVERYTHING, Remember All God Endured).

As a youth, he held multiple national records in junior division wheelchair track and field focusing on the discus and javelin skills, and power lifting; member of the 2001 National Championship Lakeshore Sharks Junior wheelchair basketball team then in high school the Lakeshore Lakers wheelchair basketball team. A member of the Mid-West Region First Team All-Tournament; 2006 awarded the Junior National Power Lifting Record for lifting 360 pounds. March 2006 was a member of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association Championship team, Lakeshore Lakers of the Lakeshore Foundation, Birmingham, AL.

During his high school years Master was on the Alabama’s Governor’s Youth Leadership Forum. The summer of 2005 received leadership awards from Troy University and was a member of the Paralympic Academy representative to Youth Conference, Colorado Springs, CO. May 2006, he graduated from Holtville High School, Deatsville, AL. Although heavily recruited by collegiate wheelchair basketball teams at Edinboro University, Edinboro, PA and the University of Illinois, Champaign, IL; as a true die-hard Alabama fan, there was only one school for Master. In the fall of 2006 he was awarded a full scholarship to the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa to play on the men’s Wheelchair Basketball team where he met the love of his life, Anna Kleen.

After meeting Anna they were married in Bertha, MN on June 26, 2010. They moved back to Minnesota where he worked as a PCA at Claire Braun’s House. He loved helping and loved that job. They then moved to Brainerd to be closer to family. This is when they were able to adopt 3 wonderful children. This was the lifetime experience for both Anna and Master. One of his greatest accomplishments and goals in life was to become a dad. His kids, especially the boys thought he was the real life Superman. They moved a again for job opportunities and settled in Springfield, MO.

He was a great athlete and was in his element on the basketball court. As an adult, the wheelchair basketball teams he played on included the University of Alabama Mens team, Auburn University Mens team, Minnesota Timberwolves Mens team, NWBA All-Star team and Kansas City Kings. He was also a member of the Minnesota Flame Throwers WC Softball team. He coached the Minnesota Junior Gophers Wheelchair Basketball, Minnesota Blizzard Track and Field, and Lakeshore Lakers Wheelchair Basketball teams.

Master worked at Nexus Academy-Mile Lacs Family Healing in Onamia MN, as an advisor and life
coach and at Productive Alternatives in Brainerd. Always an advocate, he served with the Minnesota Council on Disabilities and promoted disability awareness where he promoted his message in video, print, and at the MN State Fair.

Preceding Master in death were his mother, Timolyn Wright, sister, Destiny Hinkle, grandmother, Gwendolyn Bivens, and aunt, Elaine Floria Shelton.

Master is survived by his wife, Anna (Kleen) Hinkle, and children, Emilee (14), Tonio (12), and Malik (10), sisters, Gwendolyn Hinkle and Mercedes (Hinkle) Cordarius, brother, Lawson Hinkle Jr., and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Two Celebrations of Life, one in Minnesota and one in Alabama will be held at later dates. The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time.
