Dear friends,
We’ve all benefited tremendously by being a part of the Brown/Champion Taekwondo community, led by Master Park. For many of us, BTKD was an integral part of our time at Brown and where we made lifelong friends. But due to COVID classes have moved online and many of his current students are not able to afford the dojang fees.
We’re joining together now to support these students, the dojang, and the broader Brown/Champion Taekwondo community, by asking you to join us in sponsoring a student’s TKD education. $160 covers one student’s fees for a month, but any amount helps. Our goal is to sponsor the fees of 10 students for 3 months, and we know this community can do it.
Particularly during these difficult times, the ability to train in Taekwondo, even remotely, is an extremely valuable way to stay mentally and physically well. Your support will help students and families who have been seriously impacted by COVID continue to have this essential outlet.
Wishing you well in this challenging time,
Daniel Santiago ‘03, BTKD President 2001-2003
James Irwin ‘04, BTKD Equipment Manager 2000-2002
Janice Shelsta ‘04, BTKD Instructor 2003-2004
Randall Trang '11, BTKD & CTC Instructor 2008-present
