Masterplan Fundraiser

This fundraiser is organized by York College Foundation.

A journey that begun with a hate crime 10 years ago, is today a forward looking model for a 3 year college education with a mission to develop 18 - 25 year-olds into individuals who will build their own communities for the next 250 years. York College of Agriculture & Technology is a collaboration between many interests to bring through those in the blind spots of our communities who represent that talent for developing impactful food and housing systems in the coming age of artificial intelligence.

Currently Log Hollow is a permaculture farm and off-grid living center along the Chehalis river in Lewis County, Washington State. We focus on growing food, bringing back old methods, and offering ideas on sustainable living. When founder Rohn moved to Log Hollow ten years ago the land was barren from logging. Rohn planted thousands of trees, fruits, and vegetables and rebuilt the soil to create an oasis of growth and life on land that was recently desolate. The land was brought back and created a space that would nurture one's humanity, a place for learning and growth.

We continue to create an innovative, dynamic space for a new generation of learners to develop hand skills as well as thinking skills that will create opportunities for underserved communities to thrive.

York College invites community programs and initiatives to nest within our ecosystem and utilize the college's commons resources to develop and seek additional investment support for their ideas. We act as a direct community incubator to assist in narrowing the skills gap.

We need your help! Our immediate goal is raise money to complete the master planning phase of the project. We have a great partnership with Miller Hull Partnership- a globally renown architectural firm, has prepared conceptual drawings and started the masterplan document. Next we need to complete geotechnical studies, site surveys and an arborist evaluation. That's where you come in! Your collective donations will off set these costs we are currently committed to, as well as completing the master planning phase. Next will come the site design and continued program development.
