Help me get my Master's Degree

One year ago we moved to Copenhagen, Denmark. It has been simultaneously the most rewarding and most challenging year of our lives (there’s probably a correlation there). We’ve struggled to support ourselves with what little work we can but no matter where you are in the world, making a living as creative people can be difficult at best. We have a small apartment in the suburbs that we pay a bit too much for but we call it home and it really has become ours.             

     Through hard work and a lot of networking we’ve established a fairly consistent income stream, but it is just enough to keep the lights on and food on the table. Now, in order to stay here in Denmark we need to fulfill the last financial obligation associated with my master’s degree, and that is the final €4,600 ($5,200) tuition payment, which is due September 15th. The conservatory’s policies on payments has no room for error so if I fail to make the final payment I will lose my place within the school and my visa and temporary residence permit will be immediately revoked.              

     My experience at the conservatory has been the one of the greatest educational experiences of my life. I've had the chance to write for world-class musicians at the conservatory as well as work with some of the top music educators and composers in all of Scandinavia.             

     So I am here to ask for one last push to help me finish out my education. We need help in raising part of (or all of) the $5,000 by the second week in September. Any size donation will help (especially donations of $5,000). So please, if you can, take a few minutes and a few dollars and help us stay in the land of smørrebrød (open-faced sandwiches) and fine Danish pilsners.
